Confidentiality and Security
The TypeArt Foundry is committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of all our customers and web site visitors. In important key areas of our web site we use industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption to protect your data while it is being transmitted. Before your credit card number is submitted, for example, it is encrypted and made unreadable so that third parties cannot intercept the data while it is in transit. You can confirm that you are on a SSL protected page when you see a key or a closed lock icon at the bottom left of your browser window.
Unfortunately, no transmission of data over the Internet is guaranteed to be 100% secure. As such, we cannot ensure the security of the information you transmit to us over the Internet, and you must do so at your own risk.
Once we have received your transmission, we employ reasonable precautions to ensure that the information that you disclose to us is kept secure. Access to your personal information is limited to our employees and our web site programming team, who, at times, must come in contact with your information in order to perform their work.
Authorized third party agents (such as a courier or shipping company) may also need access to some of your personal information in order to do their jobs. They will only be given the minimum amount of information needed to do their jobs.
So that your personal information is further protected your credit card information is not recorded or stored in any form by The TypeArt Foundry. A third party transaction processor approved by VISA authorizes credit card transactions from our shopping cart. To review their privacy and security policies, and learn more about the storage of your credit card data, please visit the E-xact website.
All computers on the Internet are identified with a domain name and a set of numbers which together serve as their "Internet Protocol" IP address. When you access any of our web site pages, our web server automatically recognizes your domain name and IP address, and the address from which you have come. This reveals nothing personal about you, but helps us to examine the sources of our traffic, to analyze trends and to assist in system administration.
Our web site may send a cookie to your computer. This is a small piece of data sent to your browser from our web server and stored on your computer hard drive. A cookie cannot read data from your hard drive or damage your system. A cookie stores useful information which enables our web site to remember you when you return, tracking pages which you have visited or any preferences which you have customized.
We do not track what text individual users read, but aim to determine how well our pages perform so that we can improve content and thus improve traffic to pages which perform poorly.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, each newsletter has instructions on how you can unsubscribe. All unsubscribe requests will be respected and you will be immediately removed from our mailing list.
